Our organization supports community connection at all ages and stages. Fostering resilience, empathy, and purpose for children regardless of their socioeconomic status, race, citizenship status, or ethnicity. However, we know in order to maintain Guahata Turahu we must work to provide opportunity and safe spaces for our youth. We are striving to create healthy outlets for young talent through programs dedicated to the physical, mental, and emotional wellness of young people. Currently we serve aspiring athletes through our East River Red Tails basketball clinic. Gua also hosts several book and toy drives, throughout the year for Brookings and Moody County. Student services include grant and scholarship resources and other school funding and application support.

Our goal is to serve the needs of young people with a wealth of resources to help them see and achieve their fullest potential.
Our focus will include:
- Sports and arts programs
- Educational opportunities
- Internships, mentorships, and scholarships
